Michael Griggs has been the capable and inspirational leader of this association for 18 years. Cliff Roberts began his four-year term as president in 2020. Cliff is the co-author of Atlanta’s Fighting 42nd: Joseph Johnston’s “Old Guard,” which was published by Mercer University Press in March 2020. The book can be purchased at Amazon.

In January 2021, Mercer University Press published member Elaine  Fowler Palencia’s book On Rising Ground: The Life and Civil War Letters of John M. Douthit, 52nd Georgia Volunteer Infantry. The book can be purchased at Amazon.
